Which side will overbalance the other?

The blocks on the right or on the left? Which ones are heavier?

The total weight of the blocks on both sides is identical. But when considered individually, they are not the same at all. They differ in size, weight and colour. Depending on how you place the blocks on the scale it will go up or down – the right side will go down when the largest element is located on the outside edge, and the left side will go up when the smallest element in positioned in the same spot. But what the game is really all about is placing the blocks in such a way as to maintain the balance between both sides of the scale. What is a challenge is to situate them in some non-standard way.

Playing with these blocks is very beneficial. It improves logical thinking as well as the ability to differentiate between different sizes, shapes and colours. Whole body is involved while playing with the scale and the blocks thus contributing to the development of fine motor skills.
